How can I make a donation?
You may make a donation any time by credit card via our website or by sending a check payable to The Chester County Hospital Foundation to the address below. If your employer has a matching gift program, you may obtain a matching gift form from your human resources or community relations department and send it to our office for approval with your donation. Gifts of securities such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds are another option in supporting our Hospital. Where does the money I donate go?
If you make an unrestricted or annual donation to the Hospital, we will use the funds where they are most needed. In most cases general donations go to operational support of the Hospital. If you are interested in funding a specific project, program or department, you have the option of designating your gift for that cause. Just include a note or write your intention on the memo line of your donation check.

How do I get a receipt for tax purposes?
If you make a donation directly to the Foundation, your donation is 100% tax-deductible and you will automatically receive a written acknowledgment on our Foundation letterhead to submit for tax purposes. If you are participating in an event where you pay for entry or tickets, only a portion of your donation is tax-deductible. Our office can determine the amount that is deductible on these occasions, and send a written acknowledgment at your request.

Is the Hospital associated with the United Way?
Yes, The Chester County Hospital receives donor designated gifts via several local United Way offices. If you would like to make a donation to the Foundation through the United Way, please indicate on their pledge form your wish to have it directed to The Chester County Hospital Foundation.

Is the Foundation office located on the Hospital grounds?
Yes, we are physically located in the North Hills Medical Building at 795 East Marshall Street in Suite 203. However, our mailing address is the same as the Hospital mailing address: The Chester County Hospital Foundation, 701 East Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380.

How do you acknowledge donations?
All donors will receive an acknowledgment letter that may be used for tax purposes. In addition, they receive Synapse, our Hospital magazine, which will keep you informed on our programs and services, as well as invitations to special health and education events sponsored by the Hospital. Donors who make a gift of $50 or more will receive public acknowledgment in the Annual Donor Report, unless specified to remain anonymous, for the fiscal year in which they gave.
