The 75th Annual House Tour takes place RAIN or SHiNE!
The Women's Auxiliary to Chester County Hospital is proud to celebrate CHESTER COUNTY DAY 2015, the 75th gala year of the longest running house tour in the country. Who would have known that when Mrs. William A. Limberger and her fellow auxilians decided to hold a house tour in 1936 which featured 22 homes, was known as "West Chester Day" and tickets cost $1.00, that the "Day" would go on and on successfully year after year. We cordially invite you to visit old and interesting houses, gardens and historic landmarks in Chester County on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10 am to 5 pm.
This year we focus our attention on the Borough of West Chester where the tour began in 1936. Architecture is like frozen history. This is especially true of an area like Chester County which is one of the longest settled parts of Pennsylvania. West Chester is of particular interest because of its Greek revival architecture and its ancient trees. On Friday evening, October 2, 2015 visit Thomas U. Walter's 1846 Historic Court House for Preview Lectures of the tour presented at 6:00 and 7:30 pm in Court Room 1. Or travel south on Route 1 where 3 preview lectures will be given in the Auditorium in beautiful Longwood Gardens at 5, 6, and 7 pm.

Tradition of Excellence
For more than 120 years Chester County Hospital has been delivering excellence in health care close to home. Continuing this tradition requires constant upgrades of our facilities like the Catheterization Lab. The Catheterization Lab 3 project is a 4.8 million dollar replacement project for Interventional Laboratory 3. This room is used for complex ablation cases, Laser peripheral vascular intervention and other complex peripheral vascular procedures.
The Women's Auxiliary to Chester County Hospital has pledged $500,000 in support of the funding for this project. Thanks to this pledge, our community will continue to receive the best in medical procedures close to home.
