Thursday, June 12, 2014
"It can't be a heart attack. It must be something else." Heart attacks do have beginnings, and knowing the early warning signs can save your life. This unique program offers the opportunity to meet and talk "heart-to heart" with physicians, nurses and local emergency responders to learn about the early signs and symptoms of heart attack and the benefits of receiving immediate care from emergency medical services. Hands-Only CPR Demonstration and Practice Session will also be provided. Light refreshments will be served.

In under a minute, your heart can pump blood to every cell in your body. Over the course of a day, about 100,000 heart beats shuttle 2,000 gallons of oxygen-rich blood many times through your body's 60,000 miles of branching blood vessels. That's a hefty job for a fist-sized muscle.
Your heart works hard for you every day, so it is up to you to take care of your heart so it can keep you well in the long run. The Chester County Hospital can help you do this by helping you to achieve and maintain a healthy heart.
We are thinking about your health, even when you may not be. We provide information, education, disease-specific symposiums, screenings and support geared toward keeping you and your heart healthy.
