The Chester County Hospital Officially Breaks Ground on New Tower

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, The Chester County Hospital and Health System marked the commencement of its 93,000 sq. ft. Tower Project with a ceremonial Groundbreaking for the members of its Board of Trustees, Capital Campaign leadership, local legislators and representatives from Ballinger and L.F. Driscoll. Attendees of the event, which included former Hospital President H.L. Perry Pepper, heard from William W. Wylie, Jr., Chairman of The Chester County Hospital and Health System's Board of Directors; John A. Featherman, III, Co-Chairman of the Capital Campaign Committee; and Michael J. Duncan, President and CEO of The Chester County Hospital and Health System. The ceremony took place at the construction site.

The Chester County Hospital has been serving Chester County and its surrounding communities for 120 years. Today, the Hospital provides a full range of health services. To meet the long-term health care needs of its rapidly growing community, the Hospital is embarking on this $45.2 million building project to increase inpatient bed capacity with 72 new private rooms and to install a new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator for the treatment of cancer.
