Q. What is Penn Medicine?
A. Penn Medicine includes the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The University of Pennsylvania Health System includes the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (1,500 physicians), Clinical Care Associates (a large mostly primary care, community physician network), and Penn Home Care & Hospice. Chester County Hospital is Penn Medicine's fourth hospital.
Q. What will happen to your affiliation with Cleveland Clinic and CHOP?
A. We will maintain our affiliation with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and build upon our successful 18-year relationship. Our affiliation in heart surgery with Cleveland Clinic will come to an end, and we will align our heart surgery services with that of Penn Medicine, which has a positive reputation in the greater Philadelphia region.
Q. What happens to The Chester County Hospital Foundation?
A. The Foundation will continue its long tradition of raising money to support the strategic initiatives at Chester County Hospital and those funds raised by the Foundation will be dedicated solely to supporting Chester County Hospital.
