The death of a loved one can result in a sometimes lengthy and difficult period of grief. Often, we need more support - or a different kind of support - than our friends or family can give. The Bereavement Support Groups will educate individuals about the grieving process and guide them as they move through the stages of grief.
The Living With Loss Bereavement Support Group offered through Neighborhood Health Agencies, Inc., a part of The Chester County Hospital and Health System, will educate participants about the grieving process and guide them as they move through the stages of grief. A series of ten-week sessions are offered year-round for adults experiencing a recent loss and are free to the public. Day and evening groups are available.
This bereavement service is facilitated by a Hospice Department staff member from Neighborhood Health Agencies, Inc. The unique support program is for children and youth who have experienced the death of a loved one and is offered in the school and community settings. Sessions meet for 8 weeks and provide information and opportunities for discussion in a supportive atmosphere to help young people understand their grief.
