Your treatment may involve home care services following surgery or during the course of your recovery. The Cancer Program may arrange for home care through Neighborhood Health Agencies, Inc. (NHA), a part of The Chester County Hospital and Health System. NHA's dedicated nurses, therapists, nutritionists, home care aides and social workers will coordinate with individuals and family members what home services are need to support healing and a return to daily activities.
Patients whose disease is incurable may want to consider hospice care through NHA's Hospice Program. Hospice care neither hastens nor postpones death; rather, it addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns that accompany end-of-life care, focusing on controlling symptoms while emphasizing comfort. This valuable service allows families the opportunity to care for loved ones in familiar and comfortable surroundings.
