Specialized Medical Care for Newborn Babies

Our neonatologists treat babies who are born prematurely, experience respiratory problems at birth, or may require additional observation and/or treatment due to other complications. Approximately 10% of the Hospital's newborns receive care in our Level III NICU, some for only a few hours and others for as many days as needed.

About our CHOP Newborn Care Team

Affiliated with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Hospital's CHOP Newborn Care neonatologists work in concert with the Hospital's perinatologists, obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, specially trained neonatal nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and respiratory therapists to deliver the county's highest level of neonatal services on a 24-hour basis.

Because our team of neonatologists are on staff at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, our patients benefit from the extensive resources of CHOP, a world leader in neonatal medicine, combined with the experience and facilities at The Chester County Hospital.
