Helping families get off to a healthy start, the Maternal/Child Health Program offered by Neighborhood Health Agencies, Inc., a part of The Chester County Hospital and Health System, provides pregnant and postpartum women and children with a host of services. Highly trained and experienced nurses work in close collaboration with obstetricians, pediatricians and other physicians. Maternal/Child staff provide monitoring and intervention for expectant mothers, including high-risk pregnancies. Following birth, in-home mother and newborn assessments assure adequate nutritional intake and development of the baby and the return to daily activities for mom. A Certified Lactation Consultant is available for those who choose breastfeeding. In addition, children up to age 18 with acute or chronic illnesses or the need for rehabilitation therapies benefit from the skilled care of our dedicated clinicians.
