CVC Team Celebrates 1000th Open Heart Surgery

The CardioVascular Center heart surgery team at The Chester County Hospital gathers at the Hospital's historic seal after completing their 1000th open heart operation. When the CardioVascular Center opened in the fall of 2001, The Chester County Hospital became the first in the area to offer comprehensive cardiac care, including heart surgery. Over the more than six years since, the Center has grown, exceeding national quality and performance standards and ranking in the 99th percentile in patient satisfaction. In 2006, the Hospital established an affiliation in heart surgery with Cleveland Clinic, the leading heart center in the country.
