The treatment of chronic and non-healing wounds takes time, consistency and an educated plan. Due to the long-term care needed to heal wounds, the Wound Care Center® at The Chester County Hospital seamlessly integrates its plan of care with a patients' primary care physician. Meeting the national clinical guidelines, but exceeding the national healing rate, the success of the Hospital's wound care program is based on its interdisciplinary approach, its commitment to understanding the nature of the wound, and its full-team approach to caring for the patient. Coupled with the latest technology, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, the Center uses a compassionate approach toward healing its patients. The Chester County Hospital's commitment to manage the healing of wounds was recognized with a Gold Seal of Approval™ by the Joint Commission in 2008 and 2010.
