HEALTH - HAPPINESS - SUCCESS Award

Awarded in memory of Jon F. Wehler

2010 Honoree - Katie Walker, President, Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce

Jon F. Wehler was a motivated, goal oriented young man whose life was cut short before he could realize many of his dreams. But, he continues to inspire those who knew and loved him to cherish each day and live their best life. The HEALTH - HAPPINESS - SUCCESS AWARD is given in honor of Jon to a young professional who works to achieve that special balance while giving back to the community that we share. We are proud to present the 2nd Annual Jon F. Wehler, HEALTH - HAPPINESS - SUCCESS AWARD to Katie Walker for her dedication to our community.

As President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, Katie works tirelessly to build business opportunities and create a sense of community in the West Chester area. She has demonstrated good judgment when dealing with issues affecting the Greater West Chester community and the vision to address problems that will impact us all in the future. Through her work, business and community leaders have come to depend on Katie's opinion and influence. In building a successful career herself, she has helped to build a better community.

Outside of work, Katie's commitment to the community continues through her volunteer efforts for the West Chester B.I.D., West Chester Rotary and even the occasional charity run, like the Dash. To those that know her, Katie's commitment to her job and to the community is a passion that comes from the heart. It is how Jon lived his life and we are proud to honor Katie Walker with this award in his memory. We hope that others will be inspired by Katie's example to live a life full of HEALTH-HAPPINESS-SUCCESS.

The Jon F. Wehler HEALTH-HAPPINESS-SUCCESS AWARD will be presented to Katie Walker at the awards ceremony following the Parkway Dash 4 Diabetes 5K Run/2.5K Walk at the Chester County Justice Center on April 10, 2010 (approximately 5:15pm).

2009 Honoree - Cathy Gabrielsen, Founder, Cuddle My Kids

Cathy is the proud Founder/Executive Director of Cuddle My Kids. The idea of Cuddle My Kids evolved as Cathy lay on the floor trying to play with her 3 and 1 year old boys, exhausted and in excruciating pain from her breast cancer treatment. She desperately needed to rest but caring for young children was her primary concern. At that moment, Cathy vowed to herself that she would do whatever she could to help other families with cancer balance their recovery with nurturing their your children.
