Diagnostic Testing

One of the most powerful tools in the fight against cardiovascular disease is accurate and timely diagnosis. The CardioVascular Center at The Chester County Hospital offers a full range of sophisticated diagnostic services to identify any issues that may be affecting your heart health.

Our technologically advanced diagnostic capabilities allow us to determine the presence and extent of cardiac conditions, providing all the information needed to implement prompt and effective treatment. Our team of cardiologists, nurse practitioners, technologists, registered nurses and exercise physiologists collaborate with you to evaluate the condition of your heart, help you understand any problems that may be diagnosed, and work with you throughout your treatment program.

In many cases, we are able to diagnose cardiovascular conditions using exclusively noninvasive techniques. Non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic tests provide important insights about the heart and blood vessels. These tests are used to identify cardiovascular disease, establish the type of disease, and determine the most effective treatment methods

At The Chester County Hospital, we offer a variety of non-invasive cardiac testing measures for both adults and children. The most common non-invasive tests offered through our cardiology department include the following:

  • 64-Slice CT Scan
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)
  • Tilt Table Test
  • Holter Monitor
  • Echocardiography
  • Myocardial Perfusion Scan
  • Pharmacologic Intervention (Stress)
  • Peripheral Vascular Testing
  • Segmental Pressure Analysis
  • Duplex Scan
