As a result of significant improvements in care and services to our patients and families, our Hospital has received recognition from national quality improvement entities. The Hospital has been chosen as a Mentor Hospital by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) for the work done to improve the care of the Heart Failure patient and for the outstanding work of our Rapid Response Team. The Team is comprised of critical care specialists who intervene with patients who may suddenly become unstable. Since IHI is a highly respected organization that drives health care improvement, this distinction is a proud achievement for our Hospital. The Mentor Hospital designation means that other hospitals in the nation can contact our taskforce leaders for direction and assistance in improving care in these two areas of service.
