Stacey J. Kuhns, MD
Dr. Kuhns received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, with a minor in Religion, from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and received her Doctorate of Medicine from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her internship and residency training in Family Medicine at York Hospital in York, PA and is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine.
Prior to moving to Chester County, Dr. Kuhns practiced for over 20 years in York County, Pennsylvania. During her career she has treated a wide variety of family practice patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including handicapped and nursing home patients in both rural and urban communities. She has a special interest in nutrition, preventive medicine, women's health, and geriatrics with an emphasis on healthy lifestyle patient education. She offers an integrative holistic approach to health and medical care; partnering with and empowering patients to take charge of their own health.
Dr. Kuhns is married and has two children; she enjoys reading, gardening as well as jazz and classical music.
Lisa F. Parviskhan, D.O.
Dr. Parviskhan is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has a special interest in preventative healthcare, women's health and adolescent medicine. She lives with her family and has practiced medicine in the Exton area since 1994. Dr. Parviskhan was voted "Top Doc" by her peers in Family Medicine by Main Line Today Magazine 2007.
She has a compassionate approach that emphasizes prevention and believes in treating the whole person taking into the account the individual's physical, nutritional, environmental, social and spiritual needs. She encourages patients to take an active role in achieving and maintaining their own good health and sense of well being. She also believes that by carefully listening to her patients together they can find the healthy steps that work best at any stage of their lives.
Dr. Parviskhan feels passionately about helping the youth in our community. She believes in educating them about positive self-esteem, peer pressure, eating disorders and other challenges they face so that they are empowered to make healthy choices. She developed and facilitated an adolescent girls group that was held for several years in the Downingtown area.
She believes that a nurturing, holistic approach to care can lead our community toward achieving health and well being.
When she is not working, she enjoys time with her family, gardening and photography.
Rashna K. Staid, M.D.
Dr. Staid received her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. and her Doctorate of Medicine from SUNY-Health Science Center-College of Medicine in Syracuse, N.Y. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at The Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, she was Practice Leader in an Integrative Health Center in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She specializes in Preventive Medicine with a mind-body approach to the patient while blending traditional and complementary medicine to optimize patient care. Dr. Staid has special interests in nutrition and disease, thyroid and hormonal disorders, stress management and Women's health. Dr. Staid was named by Main Line Magazine as a Top Doctor in their December 2007 issue after being in practice only for 1.5 years in the Philadelphia region.
Dr. Staid lives in Malvern with her husband and 2 children.
