Lisa F. Parviskhan, D.O.
Dr. Parviskhan is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine.
She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Rutgers University. Before medical school, she worked for several years in research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she also completed post-baccalaureate study in immunology and advanced cellular biology. She graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991 and then completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University and Dentistry of New Jersey. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at the Philadelphia Hospital of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994.
Dr. Parviskhan has a compassionate approach to care integrating traditional medicine with complementary medicine with an emphasis on prevention and education. She believes in treating the "whole person" taking into account the individual's physical, nutritional, environmental, social and spiritual needs. She encourages her patients to take an active role in achieving and maintaining their own good health and sense of well being.
Dr. Parviskhan is actively involved in educating her community about making healthy lifestyle changes that are sustainable and vital to good health and longevity. She volunteers at a local community garden that provides hands on education on how to grow organic food, teaches the youth and adults about healthy food choices and provides freshly grown organic foods for the local food bank.
She developed and facilitated an adolescent girls group that was held for several years in the Downingtown area. She educated adolescent girls on issues such as positive self esteem, peer pressure, eating disorders and other challenges they faced so that they were empowered to make healthy choices.
Dr. Parviskhan was voted "Top Doc" by MainLine Magazine in 2006, America's Top Family Doc in 2007 and Pennsylvania-Chester County/Delaware Valley Consumers Checkbook Top Rated Primary Care Physician in 2009/2010. She currently sits on the Advisory Board of ACAC Fitness & Wellness Center where she is also a speaker to their center discussing various topics of healthy lifestyle.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, gardening and photography.
Lindsey Cheney, PA-C
Lindsey Cheney, PA-C, received her Bachelors of Science in Health and Exercise with a minor in Biology Science at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she continued her studies at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, receiving Masters of Health Science degree. Lindsey has a special interests in patient education, preventative medicine, chronic and acute medical care.
