This class is one-day in length and is intended for busy couples that wish the condensed version of the four week series. All the critical information to prepare for childbirth is taught in an accelerated fashion. The program includes discussion on the stages of labor, role of the coach, relaxation and breathing techniques, medications, (including epidurals), birth options, cesarean births, postpartum issues, and newborn routines. A tour of the Maternity Unit is included.

Recommended for first-time parents. Best taken during the 7th month of pregnancy.

Special Instructions: Couples need to bring two pillows and wear comfortable clothing for breathing practice on floor mats. Please feel free to bring drink/snacks with you to class. There will be a break for lunch, but lunch is not included in the registration fee. You may bring a lunch or purchase lunch on your own.
